One of the most principled, ethical men I've ever known, he was the finest teacher I've ever had and later became my mentor and friend. Soak up everything you can possibly learn, and then some. While popularity is a factor to some, most people have stopped caring about what their classmates think of them. It's a friendlier environment for the most part. Also, my studies interest me. Also, at my school I'm lucky enough to have amazing professors, several of whom I have had conversations outside of class with about things like my spiritual life. And they all know me by name. It's great to have that kind of relationship with your teachers. Furthermore, I party, but I have a respectable GPA (I don't attend a particularly easy school), and I consider myself literate. I've found that being open-minded and not passing judgement on people allows me to see people from a different perspective. I like it. Anyone who has been through four or more legitimate years of college should at least be able to spell and capitalize. I know some kids use text mode for all correspondence, but it's pure laziness and many use it because they don't even know proper grammar and writing standards.
